About us

We moved to Hungary in 1999 after having previously taught in London schools for over twenty years.  We founded Balaton Tourism in 1999 with the aim of promoting Lake Balaton as a holiday destination and our apartments as the place to stay.

Our apartments at Balatonboglar, Alkotmany U.9 are available throughout the year.  We can accommodate 10 people in two spacious apartments.  Our low prices are designed to be attractive to couples as well as families with children.  From the end of April onwards, the weather is warm and we offer guided walks, horse riding, cycling, tennis, sailing and fishing holidays.  

During the Winter, walking and horse riding in the clean crisp air are ideal antidotes to a stressful life in town.

Apart from promoting our own accommodation, we also give fair descriptions of accommodation owned by people who have become our friends. The accommodation on our website consists of self-catering apartments and guest-house accommodation of a good standard in and around Balatonboglar in Hungary. All the accommodation is attractive, comfortable and fitted out with the needs of families in mind. Most of the accommodation is close to Lake Balaton.
